FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

  • The number one reason to get a home inspection is for your family’s safety. • We typically try to complete inspections in 2-2.5 hours. However, the length of the inspection will vary based on square footage and the amount of defects found (both major and minor). A quality home inspector will take their time going through every detail of your home.

  • Our job is to find any major defects that could cause harm, or create a major problem in the future. While we can’t fix the problems ourselves (that would be a conflict of interest), we can list any defects found in the report so you can find the right person to make the necessary repairs.

Unfortunately NYS SOP does not allow us to recommend people to make repairs.

  • We generally travel a 60 mile radius from the Albany area.

  • Per NYS SOP, home inspectors have five days to provide the client with the inspection report.

Depending on the time of the inspection, we will make every attempt to provide the report same day, or within 24 hours.

  • No house is one size fits all, and neither is our pricing. We will give you an estimate based on many different variables.

  • We take all necessary health and safety precautions during inspections.
